Earthquake relief Turkey and Syria
On February 6th 2023, Central Turkey and the Northern region of Syria were hit by a severe earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8. The quake had no central epicenter, running along several regions of Turkey and Syria. By February 15th the death toll had risen to over 40,000, but numbers probably exceed this figure by quite a bit. Millions of people were impacted by the destroyed infrastructures and will be dependent on aid for months to come.
Our social partner Samaritan’s Purse e. V. is helping in the Turkish earthquake regions, one key measure being to set up a mobile hospital in the heavily damaged City of Antakya.
Our enterprise has donated 50,000 Euros to this effort.
